For over a decade we have spent our summers at 9000 feet in Colorado. When we were looking for land to build our cabin, I told the agent, "I want to either have a stream flowing across the property, or be able to see snow in July." Atlanta is my home, but spring and fall are the beautiful seasons. It's hot in summer and rainy in winter. I was just back in Atlanta, and there have just been a handful of days below 90 degrees since Memorial Day. We are seeing a heatwave grip much of the country this summer. Last night we slept with the windows open, under a blanket. So for all my friends suffering from the heat and humidity, dream of snow in July.
